Deposit insurance - what is it?
Every time we charter a yacht, we have to pay a deposit before we start a cruise. The deposit is a protection in case you need to cover the cost of repairing the damage you caused on the yacht.
How much is the deposit?
The amount of the deposit varies from several hundred to several thousand euros. The deposit must be paid in cash or by putting a lock on your credit card..

As this is quite problematic and at the same time it is not difficult to cause damage that can be deducted from the deposit you left, you can take out deposit insurance.
What is deposit insurance?
For an additional fee, the deposit is completely completely or significantly reduced (usually to 150-300 EUR).
We need to cover an additional cost, but we are free from paying deposit, and we can be calm and sail without worrying about losing it.
The price of the deposit insurance can be found in the prices of additional services payable on site, if this option is available for a particular yacht.
